Live illustration is Amy’s most recognizable experience. Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma Amy provides live illustration for wedding receptions in Oklahoma, Texas and beyond. During the cocktail hour or reception Amy sketches your guests by hand for an incredibly unique live experience! Each illustration is completed at surprising speed (approximately three minutes per person) and guests get to take the original, signed artwork home with them.

A: They come to me! I ask that that you have the venue set up a table for me with two chairs on either side. I’ll sit on one side and the guests sit on the other as they’re being illustrated. A line forms pretty organically so you want it to be located somewhere in the venue where guests can easily see me, but it won’t get in the way of caterers, bartenders, etc. if a line forms.

A: I really try to limit it to two people so as many guests as possible can take artwork home at the end of the night.

A: Not at this time! If you’d like your ceremony or another scene illustrated from your wedding I recommend commissioning me after the fact so I can create something custom in my studio.

A: Not at all! That’s half the fun!

A: Nope! I do need them to stay at the table until the drawing is finished, but they can talk, drink, eat cake, etc. I love getting to visit with the guests while they’re getting illustrated. I’ve met some amazing people!

A: Absolutely! Those items aren’t included in a standard live illustration package, but I’m more than happy to work with you on a custom order.

A: Not to worry! In addition to live illustrating during the reception, my bridal package includes one 8x10 illustration of the bride and groom only. This is created in my studio from your wedding photos when you get them back, so you get a detailed illustration of the two of you as a keepsake.

A: I actually illustrate with markers so it will dry immediately and the guests can safely take the art with them.
